China Southern pax numbers and pax load factor up in Jan-2012, cargo down 24.1%

China Southern Airlines reports (17-Feb-2012) the following traffic highlights in Jan-2012:

  • Passenger numbers: 7.2 million, +12.7% year-on-year;
    • Domestic: 6.5 million, +12.0%;
    • Regional: 154,410, +19.1%;
    • International: 566,850, +20.0%;
  • Passenger load factor: 80.5%, +1.7 ppts;
    • Domestic: 82.2%, +1.9 ppts;
    • Regional: 67.7%, -2.6 ppts;
    • International: 75.3%, +2.4 ppts;
  • Cargo volume: 80,140 tonnes, -24.1%;
    • Domestic: 60,810 tonnes, -24.0%;
    • Regional: 800 tonnes, -29.3%;
    • International: 18,530 tonnes, -24.3%.
