China Southern opens reservations on Guangzhou-Los Angeles A380 service

China Southern Airlines confirmed (27-Jul-2012) plans to deploy A380 equipment on daily Guangzhou-Los Angeles sector from 12-Oct-2012, marking the carrier's first international route with the A380 - see Route Changes Table for more information. Reservation for the service opened on 26-Jul-2012. As previously reported, the A380 operation will replace current Boeing 777-200ER service and will increase the carrier's one-way capacity on the sector by close to 80%. The airline was the first carrier to operate 777 aircraft on Trans-Pacific services in Sep-1997 when it launched the route and is currently the sole operator on the route, according to Innovata.
