China raises jet fuel prices; Airlines to resume domestic fuel surcharges

China's National Development and Reform Commission raised gasoline, diesel and jet fuel prices by as much as 8%, the first increase in more than two months (Bloomberg, 10-Nov-2009). China's airlines will resume fuel surcharges on domestic services after the price increase, the commission stated.

National Development and Reform Commission: "The fuel price adjustment will encourage refineries to boost production and guarantee domestic supply," the commission said in the statement.
