China Eastern pulls out of Shijiazhuang-Hong Kong sector on pressure from Spring

China Eastern Airlines Hebei branch company has temporarily suspended its direct service between Shijiazhuang and Hong Kong from Jul-2011 amid competition from LCC Spring Airlines, which recently established Shijiazhuang as its second operating base (Carnoc.com, 12-Jul-2011). The carrier is expected to resume operations on the sector on 01-Nov-2011. Spring Airlines launched three times weekly Shijiazhuang-Hong Kong service with A320 equipment on 23-Dec-2010.
