China Eastern Airlines to take delivery of 73 new aircraft in 2017

China Eastern Airlines, via its official WeChat account, announced (11-Oct-2016) it has finalised its 2017 aircraft delivery schedule, with the group scheduled to take delivery of 73 new aircraft during the year. Aircraft to be delivered includes:

  • Boeing 777-300ER: Four. China Eastern took delivery of six of this aircraft type in 2016;
  • A330-300: Seven, part of its fourth batch of order for the aircraft type totaling 15 aircraft. The remaining eight aircraft will be delivered in 2018;
  • 737-800: 29, including eight for Shanghai Airlines. In 2016, Shanghai Airlines added 12 new 737-800s and returned three;
  • 737MAX: Will take delivery of its first of this aircraft type, six to be delivered during the year in total;
  • A321-200: 11;
  • A320-200: 16.
