China Eastern Airlines achieves fifth consecutive year of profits in 2013, transports 80 million pax

China Eastern Airlines announced (03-Jan-2014) the carrier achieved its fifth consecutive year of profitability in 2013. During the year, the carrier transported 80 million passengers and 1.4 million tonnes of cargo. China Eastern also operated 1.5 million safe hours, up 10.2% year-on-year, as well as 689,300 services, up 7.8%.
