China Airlines 3Q2009 revenue down 23%, net loss more than halved

China Airlines reports the following financial highlights (Dow Jones, 01-Nov-2009):

Three months ended 30-Sep-2009:

• Revenue: USD796.4 million, -23.2% year-on-year;
• Net profit (loss): (USD80.6 million), compared to a loss of USD180.8 million in the previous corresponding period;

Nine months ended 30-Sep-2009:

• Revenue: USD2,172 million, -27.3% year-on-year;
• Net profit (loss): (153.4 million), compared to a loss of USD381.6 million in the previous corresponding period.
