CarTrawler says a major change for the airline industry will be moves in retailing

CarTrawler CTO Bobby Healy, speaking at CAPA's Airlines in Transition Conference on 25/26-Mar-2015, stated (26-Mar-2015) a major change for the airline industry will be moves in retailing, with carrier moving to "shift product to customers the way a shop would do it". Airlines tend to behave as advertisers rather than retailers. According to Mr Healy, airlines could take online traffic and revenue back from Google and similar companies, if they opened up their IT systems.
