CAAC reports USD359m profit in Mar-2011

CAAC reported the following financial/traffic highlights for China's aviation industry (CAAC-News, 13-Apr-2011):

  • Mar-2011:
    • Profit: CNY2370 million (USD359.1 million);
    • Passenger numbers: 22.8 million, +5% year-on-year;
    • Passenger load factor: 81%, +0.4 ppt;
    • Cargo volume: 489,000 tonnes, +2%;
  • Three months ended 31-Mar-2011:
    • Profit: CNY7480 million (USD1133 million), +17.5%;
    • Passenger numbers: +9.3%;
    • Cargo volume: +1.2%.
