CAAC reports record 564.3 million passengers in 2010

CAAC reported (15-Mar-2011) passenger throughput at 175 Chinese airports reached a record high of 564.3 million, an increase if 16.1% year-on-year, in 2010 including a 15.7% increase in domestic passenger numbers at 519.6 million and a 20.6% jump in international passenger numbers at 44.7 million. According to CAAC, 16 airports in China reported annual passenger throughput exceeding 10 million. Cargo throughput across the 175 airports jumped 19.4% to 11.3 million tonnes while aircraft movements increased 14.3% to 5.5 million in 2010.
