China and Taiwan agree to increase cross-Strait capacity

CAAC and Taiwan Civil Aeronautics Administration announced (03-Jul-2015) China and Taiwan have agreed to increase the number of regular scheduled cross-Strait services from 840 to 890, as well as adding six new mainland destinations for cross-Strait services, including Huaian, Yangzhou, Nantong, Yiwu, Yanji and Kashgar. Each side will be allowed to operate three weekly services between Taiwan and those six destinations, which will bring the total number of mainland destinations covered in the cross-strait flight network to 61.
