Boeing to recognise 3Q2009 charge for B747-8 programme

Boeing stated (06-Oct-2009) it expects a pre-tax charge against 3Q2009 results of approximately USD1.0 billion (USD0.90 per share) affecting its B747-8 programme and deferred first flight of the B747-8F from late 2009 to early 2010. First delivery of the B747-8F is now expected in 4Q2010, with first delivery of the passenger variant still scheduled for 4Q2011.
