Boeing to announce new B787 test flight in weeks

Boeing confirmed it is prepared to announce an updated B787 test flight and delivery schedule within "weeks" (Reuters, 06-Aug-2009). Boeing delayed the planned Jun-2009 test flight, due to structural problems with the side wing body, and stated it would announce a new test date by the end of 3Q2009 at its most recent investor briefing. Boeing is reportedly preparing to install a fix for the side-of-body wing box attachment points on the B787 static test airframe.
