Boeing projects demand for 2520 aircraft in the Middle East

Boeing forecast (14-Nov-2011) airlines in the Middle East will require 2520 aircraft, valued at USD450 billion by 2030. Boeing estimates the Middle East's fleet passenger aircraft will grow from a current fleet of 1040 airplanes to a projected 2710 aircraft over the next 20 years. 34% of projected demand will be for replacement, while 66% will be part of fleet expansion plans.

Fleet outlook:

  • Narrowbody: 1160 aircraft;
  • Twin-engine widebody: 1110 aircraft;
  • Very large aircraft: 180 aircraft;
