Air Tahiti Nui finalises order for two Boeing 787-9s

Air Tahiti Nui finalised (30-Apr-2015) an order for two Boeing 787-9 aircraft on 30-Apr-2015. The carrier has also leased two additional 787-9s through Air Lease Corporation. According to the CAPA Fleet Database, Air Tahiti Nui currently operates five A340-300s with an average age of 13 years. As previously reported by CAPA, Air Tahiti Nui plans to replace the A340-300 fleet with four Boeing 787-9s from 4Q2018. [more - original PR]
