Boeing aims to recover top delivery position in 2011

Boeing Commercial Airplanes President, Jim Albaugh, stated Boeing is aiming at reclaiming its position as top commercial aircraft manufacturer by deliveries in 2011 (Bloomberg, 06-Jan-2011). Boeing delivered 462 aircraft this year, two more than its target. Airbus delivered 461 aircraft for the year to Nov-2010. Boeing plans to increase production for the B737 to 35 aircraft per month by early 2012 and 38 a month by 2Q2013 (MarketWatch, 06-Jan-2011). Production of the B777 will be increased to seven aircraft per month by mid-2011 and 8.3 per month 1Q2013.
