Air Transport Association of America (ATA) reports (22-Oct-2009) the following traffic highlights for its member airlines in Sep-2009:

• Passenger numbers: 39.8 million, -1.9% year-on-year;
  • Domestic: 34.6 million, -2.1%;
  • International: 5.2 million, -0.5%;
    • Trans-Atlantic: 2.3 million, -4.2%;
    • Latin America: 1.9 million, +3.9%;
    • Asia Pacific: 1.0 million, +0.3%;
  • Load factor: 80.5%, +3.3 ppts;
  • Domestic: 80.2%, +3.7 ppts;
  • International: 81.1%, +2.4 ppts;
    • Trans-Atlantic: 83.7%; +3.8 ppts;
    • Latin America: 76.3%, +1.0 ppt;
    • Asia Pacific: 79.3%, +0.6 ppt. [more]
