Asiana reports big profit turnaround in 1Q2010

Asiana Airlines reports (13-May-2010) the following financial/traffic highlights for the three months ended 31-Mar-2010:
  • Revenue: USD1,036 million, +27.4% year-on-year;
  • Operating costs: USD933.6 million, +1.7%;
    • Fuel: +8.4%;
  • Operating profit (loss): USD101.6 million, compared to a loss of USD106 million in the corresponding period last year;
  • Net profit (loss): USD84.3 million, compared to a loss of USD231 million in the corresponding period last year. [more]
