Arik Air to become Sierra Leone's national carrier

Arik Air announced the conclusion of a joint venture agreement with Sierra Leone that will allow it to become the country's national carrier (Daily Trust, 17-Mar-2011). Arik Air's Managing Director, Chris Ndulue, said the joint venture carrier will be named Leone Air, based in Freetown and will commence operations in Jul-2011.
