Aluu Airlines and Greenland Express approved to operate domestic services

Greenland's Ministry of Housing, Construction and Infrastructure authorised (10-Apr-2015) both Aluu Airlines and Greenland Express to operate scheduled domestic services within Greenland. Greenland's Trafikstyrelsen will also allow the carrier's to operate scheduled services to and from Greenland. Minister of Housing, Construction and Infrastructure Knud Kristiansen said: "I have great expectations for both Aluu Airlines and Greenland Express which will soon plan, advertise and start selling seats on their upcoming routes both within Greenland and to and from Greenland. I have an expectation that increased competition in the air will improve prices for the benefit of travellers." Mr Kristiansen added: "I also have a great expectation that increased seating capacity will allow more tourists the chance to visit our great land. Finally, I expect that it will be easier for our countrymen to get out into the world and take home ideas and experiences which may be of great benefit to Greenlandic society."
