airBaltic: Codeshare relationships allow profitable operations on otherwise nonviable routes

airBaltic CEO Martin Gauss, speaking at CAPA's Airlines in Transition Conference on 25/26-Mar-2015, stated (25-Mar-2015) the carrier's codeshare partnerships offer the ability to operate thin routes profitably. airBaltic reported a significant difference in yields on routes with codeshares and routes where it competes with LCCs. The airline has 19 codeshare partners.
