26-May-2011 4:23 PM

Air Nigeria was forced to cancel seven services due to scarcity of aviation fuel, which left passengers stranded at Murtala Muhammed Airport (Daily Trust, 26-May-2011). Nigerian carriers have been having a running battle with fuel marketers who increased the price of the product from NGN120 (USD0.76) per litre to NGN150 and NGN162 depending on the location.
