Air New Zealand delivers its best result in five years in FY2013

Air New Zealand revenue up 3% - financial highlights for 12 months ended 30-Jun-2013:

  • Operating revenue: NZD4618 million (USD3794 million), +3.0% year-on-year;
    • Passenger: NZD3765 million (USD3093 million), +3.6%;
    • Cargo: NZD301 million (USD247 million), +1.0%;
  • Operating costs: NZD3720 million (USD3056 million), -1.3%;
    • Fuel: NZD1204 million (USD989 million), -1.2%;
    • Labour: NZD1069 million (USD878 million), +1.8%;
  • Profit before tax: NZD256 million (USD210 million), +172%;
  • Net profit: NZD182 million (USD150 million), +156%;
  • Passenger numbers: 13.4 million, +2.2%;
    • Short-haul: 11.9 million, +2.6%;
    • Long-haul: 1.5 million, -0.9%;
  • Passenger load factor: 83.6%, +0.8 ppt;
    • Short-haul: 83.2%, -0.1 ppt;
    • Long-haul: 84.0%, +1.6 ppt;
  • Yield: NZD 13.6 cents (USD 11.2 cents), +0.9%;
