Air India reports widening loss in FY2009 of USD1,197 million

Air India reports the following financial highlights for the 12 months ended 31-Mar-2009 (Dow Jones/Business Standard, 11-Nov-2009/12-Nov-2009):

• Revenue: USD2,908 million, -11.6% year-on-year;
• Net profit (loss): (USD1,197 million), compared to a loss of USD474.6 million in the previous corresponding period;
• Passenger numbers: 10.4 million, -21.6%;
• Passenger load factor: 59.5%, -4.3 ppts.
