Air India and Indian Commercial Pilots Association meet to resolve pay parity issues

Air India and Indian Commercial Pilots Association (ICPA) were scheduled to meet in the Chief Labour Commissioner's office on 15-Apr-2011 to resolve issues regarding pay parity (Indian Express, 15-Apr-2011). ICPA has refused to withdraw strike notice against the carrier, citing lack of trust on the management. "They (Air India management) have repeatedly flouted the deadlines agreed to. We haven't received any interim package yet," ICPA general secretary Rishabh Kapoor said. ICPA had twice deferred the 09-Mar-2011 strike notice following reconciliatory proceedings.
