Air France seeking to reduce controllable costs by 20%

Air France announced (02-Apr-2012) it is seeking to restore its competitiveness by reducing controllable costs by 20% under the airline's 'Transform 2015' turnaround plan. The airline also plans to simplify its organisational structure and deepen integration with KLM. Air France's short and medium-haul network is targeted to return to breakeven in 2014 and the airline will investigate developing its low-cost subsidiary Transavia "to respond to the growing leisure travel segment".
