Air France-KLM operating loss narrows in 1Q2013

Air France-KLM revenue up 1% - financial highlights for three months ended 31-Mar-2013:

  • Revenue: EUR5721 million, +1.3 year-on-year;
    • Passenger: EUR4490 million, +1.4%;
    • Cargo: EUR700 million, -5.9%;
  • Operating costs:
    • Labour: EUR1892 million, -1.7%;
    • Fuel: EUR1667 million, -0.8%;
  • Operating profit (loss): (EUR530 million), compared to a loss of EUR611 million in p-c-p;
  • Net profit (loss): (EUR630 million), compared to a loss of EUR379 million in p-c-p;
  • Passenger traffic (RPKs): +0.8%;
  • Passenger load factor: 82.1%, +0.5 ppt;
  • Passenger yield: EUR 8.17 cents, +0.6%;
  • Passenger revenue per ASK: EUR 6.71 cents, +1.2%;
  • Passenger cost per ASK: EUR 7.41 cents, -0.4%;
