Air Canada operating revenue up 11.4% in 4Q2010

Air Canada reports (10-Feb-2011) the following financial highlights:

  • 3 months ended Dec-2010:
    • Operating revenues*: USD2,629.1 million, +11.4% year-on-year;
    • Operating income/loss: USD131.7 million compared to a loss of USD83.4 million in p-c-p;
    • Net income/loss for the period: USD134.7 million, compared to a loss of USD56.3 million in p-c-p;
    • Passenger traffic (RPMs): +8%;
    • Passenger load factor: 78.8%, +0.2 ppt;
    • Passenger revenue per RPM: +2.8%;
    • Passenger revenue per ASM: +3.0%;
    • CASM excluding fuel: -4.1%;
    • Aircraft in operating fleet^: 328, -1.2%;
  • 12 months ended Dec-2010:
    • Operating revenues: USD10,840.2 million, +10.8%;
    • Operating income/loss: USD409.0 million, compared to a loss of USD317.6 million in p-c-p;
    • Net income/loss for the period: USD107.5 million, compared to a loss of USD24.1

    • Passenger traffic (RPMs): +8.3%;
    • Passenger load factor: 81.7%, +1.0 ppts;
