Air Algerie loses millions from strike; talks to resume

Air Algerie reportedly lost millions of dinar from the strikes held by its cabin crew, who were demanding a 106% increase in pay (magharebia.com/middle-east-online.com/AFP, 19-Jul-2011). The striking cabin crew caused multiple delays and cancellations at airports in Algeria and France. Talks between management and unions were suspended on 17-Jul-2011 when management failed to reinstate fired employees as promised. Talks will resume on 21-Jul-2011.
