Aegean Airlines remains in the red in 1Q2015

Aegean Airlines revenue up 3% - financial highlights for three months ended 31-Mar-2015:

  • Revenue: EUR138.1 million, +3% year-on-year;
  • Costs:
    • Fuel: EUR30.8 million, -17%;
    • Labour: EUR24.3 million, +9%;
  • EBIT (loss): (EUR17.5 million), compared to a loss of EUR9.7 million in p-c-p;
  • Profit (loss) before tax: (EUR12.3 million), compared to a loss of EUR10.8 million in p-c-p;
  • Net profit (loss): (EUR8.3 million), compared to a loss of EUR8.4 million in p-c-p.
  • Passenger numbers: 1.8 million, +13%;
  • Domestic: 995,000, +7%;
  • International: 851,000, +22%;
  • Revenue per ASK: EUR 6.3 cents, -15%;
  • Yield: EUR 9.0 cents, -11%;
  • Cost per ASK (EBT level): EUR 6.8 cents, -14%;
  • Cost per ASK (EBT level) excl fuel: EUR 5.5 cents, -9%;

Aegean Airlines: "We continue to believe that network synergies and tourism development in our country can offer further potential to our company provided a return to stability is achieved in the very near term for our country.
