ACSA appoints new general manager of Johannesburg International Airport

Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) announced (01-Sep-2014) the appointment of Bongiwe Pityi as the new general manager of Johannesburg International Airport, effective 01-Sep-2014. In 2005, Ms Pityi was appointed assistant general manager at Durban International Airport before leading and managing the operational transition of the old airport to the new Durban King Shaka International Airport. This was followed by her appointment as assistant general manager at Durban King Shaka International Airport in 2010. Her most recent position, from 2012 until the middle of this year, was deputy director: operational readiness planning at São Paulo Guarulhos International Airport, in which ACSA has a stake.
