ACI Europe: Pax up 1%, cargo remains in negative growth of 2% in Apr-2013
ACI Europe reported (03-Jun-2013) the overall passenger traffic growth at Europe's airports remained almost flat, with an increase of 0.6% year-on-year in Apr-2013. Many EU airports continued to experience the sharper end of the traffic scale, reporting a decline averaging 1.8% while passenger traffic at non-EU airports reported an average increase of 10.1%. Aircraft movements at European airports fell 0.4% while cargo traffic is still stuck in negative growth of 2.0%, according to the airport trade body. Among airports with more than 25 million passengers per year, Turkey's Istanbul Ataturk (+15.8%), Moscow Sheremetyevo (+13.8%), Antalya (+10.8%), Moscow Domodedovo (+6.7%) and Amsterdam (+3.3%) reported the highest growth.
