AAPA pax numbers up 7% but cargo traffic down 3% in Mar-2013, 53.4 million pax in 1Q2013

Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) reports (27-Apr-2013) the following international traffic highlights for its member airlines:

  • Mar-2013:
    • Passenger numbers: 18.6 million, +7.4% year-on-year;
    • Passenger traffic (RPKs): +5.4%;
    • Capacity (ASKs): +2.9%;
    • Passenger load factor: 79.3%, +1.8 ppts;
    • Cargo traffic (FTKs): -3.1%;
    • Cargo load factor: 69.2%, -0.6 ppt;
  • 3 months ended Mar-2013:
    • Passenger numbers: 53.4 million, +5.7%;
    • Passenger traffic (RPKs): +4.1%;
    • Capacity (ASKs): +2.5%;
    • Passenger load factor: 78.3%, +1.2 ppts;
    • Cargo traffic (FTKs): -4.0%;
