A350 on target for 2013 delivery

Airbus confirmed the A350-900 is on schedule to be delivered in 2013 (Reuters, 11-Amy-2010). The smaller A350-800 derivative is scheduled to enter service in 2014 with delivery of the larger A350-1000 scheduled for delivery in late 2015. Airbus stated it plans to adopt a "more rigorous" approach to cabin customisation for the A350 programme after the manufacturer experienced difficulties meeting requests for A380 interiors (Bloomberg, 10-May-2010). Airbus also stated it plans to directly purchase seats and in-flight entertainment systems.
