16 airports report pax exceed 10 million in 2010: CAAC

CAAC Vice Director Wang Changshun stated annual passenger throughput at Beijing Capital International Airport exceeded 70 million for the first time in 2010, making it the second largest in the world (Xinhua, 11-Jan-2011). According to Mr Wang, 16 airports in China reported annual passenger throughput exceeding 10 million in 2010, including Shanghai Pudong and Shanghai Hongqiao, which reported a combined passenger throughput of more than 70 million, while Guangzhou Airport passenger numbers exceeded 40 million. Qingdao Airport and Dalian Airport reported numbers exceeding 10 million during the year.
