Leipzig/Halle cargo to exceed 800,000 tonnes in 2012, record pax traffic at Dresden Airport in Sep

Germany's Mitteldeutsche Airport Holding reported (12-Oct-2012) significant traffic growth at Leipzig/Halle Airport including a 4.2% year-on-year increase in passenger numbers to 1.8 million and a 14.5% increase in cargo volume to 639,047 tonnes in the first nine months of 2012. Cargo volume at the airport, the second largest cargo hub in Germany, is expected to exceed 800,000 tonnes in full year 2012.
