Jet2.com Announces New CEO
03-Jan-2013 Jet2.com and package holiday specialists, Jet2holidays, have today announced the promotion of Steve Heapy to Chief Executive Officer.
Joining in 2009, Steve has been instrumental to the development of both Jet2holidays and Jet2.com as Managing Director and Chief Commercial Officer. Company founder, Philip Meeson, will take on the position of Executive Chairman and will continue to play an integral role in Jet2.com and Jet2holidays.
Prior to joining Heapy had a wealth of experience in the travel industry and has worked in senior and director roles at MyTravel plc, Thomas Cook plc and Libra Holidays.
Steve said: "I am pleased to be able to continue driving the businesses forward in this new role. 2013 is set to be another significant year of growth as we build on the success of last year, which saw the introduction of lots of exciting new destinations, increased capacity, as well as the great value flights and holidays we have become renowned for across the North Of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
