Finavia to reorganise its operations at Helsinki Airport
27-Sep-2012 Finavia has plans for an organisation reform in the business of Helsinki Airport. The goal is to develop the organisation for the optimal support of Helsinki Airport's intention of being a customer-oriented and cost-effective airport.
Related to the reform, Finavia is launching negotiations, which concern the employees of Helsinki Airport. According to the employer's current estimate, the negotiations may case the termination of up to 20 people's jobs. In addition, there may be major changes to employment terms. As part of the overall process, outsourcing opportunities will also be discussed.
"The competition between transit stations in Europe is becoming more intense, and it is important that we serve our customers at Helsinki Airport in a flexible and customer-oriented way, not forgetting cost-effectiveness," says Airport Director Ville Haapasaari.
