New concessions coincide with Terminal Renewal and Improvement Program (TRIP) plans for customer enhancements

Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport today formally unveiled 18 new concessions outlets located in the newly-opened first phase of Terminal A, the first wave of many high-profile brand names coming to the Airport. The new concessions in Terminal A are being unveiled in conjunction with the rollout of DFW's $2.3 billion Terminal Renewal and Improvement Program (TRIP).

"Our mission is to provide Airport guests with a world-class level of customer service, and to achieve that we're providing our passengers with more choices, healthier and upscale options and highly requested amenities," said Jeff Fegan, CEO of DFW International Airport. "Dining or shopping at DFW will become an even better experience for customers as we open these new locations, which include creative new ideas alongside some popular favorites."

Highlighting the new concessions are first ever airport locations for Ling & Louie's Asian Bar & Grill, Teavana, a world-renowned retailer for tea and tea accessories, and Geppetto's Toys. The new concessions space also heralds some design debuts and cutting edge concepts for many other locations. Overall, the redefined section of Terminal A includes 50-percent more space allocated for concessions operations while keeping roughly the same number of restaurant and retail outlets, addressing projections for passenger counts in 2020 and beyond.

"You can feel and taste an unmistakable freshness about DFW Airport with all of these new concepts now available in Terminal A, and the quality of these outlets is superb," said Ken Buchanan, executive vice president of revenue management for DFW. "I'm positive that passengers will be really pleased with this first wave of the future for concessions at DFW."
