"The Secretary for Transport and Housing, Professor Anthony Cheung Bing-leung, would like to thank Dr Cheung for his commitment to the AA and his leadership over the years. Professor Cheung is grateful that Dr Cheung has accepted to stay on as the Chairman of the AA for an additional year to steer the AA at this critical juncture," the spokesman added.

Under the Airport Authority Ordinance, the Chairman and Members of the AA are appointed by the Chief Executive.
