Aéroports de Paris Augustin de Romanet appointed Chairman & CEO

28-Nov-2012 On 28 November, the Council of Ministers appointed by decree Augustin de Romanet as Chairman & CEO of Aéroports de Paris. The group's board of directors co-opted him for the position of board member during the board of directors meeting on 12 November. He testified before the National Assembly and the Senate Sustainable Development and Land Planning Committees on 27 November, in accordance with the provisions of Article 13 of the Constitution.

Mr Romanet will officially become Chairman & CEO on 29 November 2012.

Born on 2 April 1961, Mr Romanet graduated from the Institut d'Études Politiques (IEP) in Paris and the École Nationale d'Administration (ENA) in 1986 (class of Denis Diderot). He was Managing Director of the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations from March 2007 to March 2012.

Before then, he was Deputy Secretary General to the Presidency of the Republic under Jacques Chirac from June 2005 to October 2006 and held senior positions in various ministries. Between 2002 and 2005, he was Chief of Staff to the Minister of State in charge of the budget, Alain Lambert; Deputy Chief of Staff of Francis Mer, Minister for the Economy, Finances and Industry; Chief of Staff to Jean-Louis Borloo, the Minister of Employment, Labour and Social Cohesion; and Deputy Chief of Staff to Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin.
