Vueling shares march upwards, easyJet, SAS, Norwegian higher, SkyEurope falls - share price wrap

Analysis

Vueling shares surged another 19.1% on 08-Jan-08, taking the stock's gains so far in 2009 to 78%. An announcement is expected shortly on its merger with clickair. easyJet shares rose 3.7% as a potentially damaging board room split showed signs of easing.

SAS held onto its recent gains, rising another (+2.7%), while Norwegian (+1.6%) and Austrian (+1.2%) were also higher. Investor nervousness about SkyEurope's future continued, with an 8% fall in its share price yesterday.
