Vancouver Airport reports steady year in 2007, bids for Chicago Midway

Vancouver Airport Authority, the not-for-profit operator of Vancouver International Airport, reported a surplus of CAD89.5 million in the 12 months ended 31-Dec-07, attributed to "prudent fiscal management". The result, a 20% reduction on the record CAD107.8 million surplus in 2006, was achieved despite a lowering of international landing charges on 01-Jan-08 and significant ongoing investment in the development of airport facilities.
