Quiet day for aviation supplier stocks in shadows of Farnborough Air Show

Analysis

Aviation supplier stocks were mixed on Monday, with Amadeus and Travelsky Technology falling 2.4% and 1.6%, respectively, and Airbus' parent EADS gaining 2.4%.

The countdown is on for the Farnborough Air Show, to be held from 19-25 July 2010. Exhibition space sold out in early May-2010, with event organisers hopeful it will be "better than ever for business". Organisers stated they have made considerable investment in the event to improve networking opportunities and the visitor experience.

Exhibitors will be attending from 38 countries, with 166 chalets, 22 international pavilions - including new groups from Morocco, Brazil and Portugal - already sold.

Other movers yesterday were MTU Aero Engines (+2.0%), Bombardier (-1.4%) and Rolls-Royce (-1.0%).

Selected Aviation suppliers' daily share price movements (% change): 05-Jul-2010
