Qatar Airways - New New York service announced and Houston service delayed

Premium Analysis

Qatar Airways announced a major upgrade to its North American operations in late Aug-08, revealing plans to launch non-stop Doha-New York JFK service on 26-Oct-08. The route will replace the current one-stop service operating from Doha to New York Newark via Geneva. The carrier will also step up New York frequency from six times weekly to daily. Qatar Airways will maintain Doha-Geneva service, and will deploy larger capacity aircraft on the route this year, and more frequencies from 2009.
