Malaysia's AirAsia to fly to China's Shenzhen from July 15

Kuala Lumpur (XFN-ASIA) - Budget carrier AirAsia Bhd said it

will start flying to China's Shenzhen from two of its hubs - Kuala Lumpur and

Bangkok - from July 15.

"We are very confident that this route will open more opportunities to enhance both of our hubs with greater international links in the region, especially with Shenzhen being the gateway to Southern China and Hong Kong," said Kathleen Tan, executive vice president for commercial at AirAsia.

Currently, the airline is serving seven daily flights to Macau, from Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalu and from Bangkok.

It also serves one daily flight to Xiamen from Bangkok.
