Kuala Lumpur (XFN-ASIA) - Malaysian Airline System Bhd expects
to beat its fourth quarter financial targets as yields have continued to improved,
managing director Idris Jala was quoted by the Bernama news agency as saying.
The airline expects to post a net loss of 620 mln rgt for 2006, but has forecast a net profit of 50 mln rgt for 2007, according to its business turnaround plan launched in February last year.
For the nine months to September, Malaysia Airlines recorded a net loss of 255.78 mln rgt.
Meanwhile, Idris said the airline will continue to monitor crude oil prices and that the airline's fuel surcharge at current levels "is still competitive."
