Lufthansa Technik Shenzhen accredited as first Airbus Asia maintenance center

Beijing (XFN-ASIA) - Airbus has accredited Lufthansa Technik Shenzhen (LTS), a Sino-German joint venture based in the southern Chinese city, as its first maintenance center in Asia, the official Xinhua news agency reported.
LTS will provide repair and overhaul services in line with Airbus requirements, helping regional operators of Airbus aircraft cut costs by eliminating the need for European repair and parts shipments.
LTS is 70 pct-owned by Lufthansa Technik AG. Beijing Kailan Aviation Technology Co and Shenzhen Investment Holding Co hold 20 pct and 10 pct respectively.
