LSG Sky Chefs sign 15 year contract with Bangalore Airport

Bangalore (LSG SKY CHEFS) - LSG Sky Chefs has been selected as one of two strategic partners providing Flight Catering Services at the new Bangalore International Airport after an extensive technical and financial evaluation process. The agreement, which covers a period of 15 years, was signed today.
The decision to build a new airport was made in order to keep pace with the rapid economic development of this city, which expects to more than double its current annual passenger volume (5.2 million) over the next eight years. Construction of the new airport has already begun and is scheduled to be completed by April 2008.
LSG Sky Chefs is already present at the existing Bangalore airport, currently the fourth largest in India, and delivers 3,600 meals per day to Indian Airlines, Jet Airways, Lufthansa and Paramount. The new catering facility will have a capacity of 10,000 meals per day and will be designed according to Lean operational principles, using the latest technology.
