Libya unleashes massive airport development plans

International airport development and construction companies are flying into Libya to develop and expand their airports. Libyan Government awarded this week a consortium comprising TAV Insaat, Brazil based Odebrecht and Lebanon's CCC a contract to construct a new EUR1 billion airport at Tripoli. The new airport, which is expected to be completed within 24 months, will have capacity for 20 million passengers p/a.
